Background and Significance

In the current era of vigorous development of the global creative economy, design has become the core force driving industrial innovation, shaping a better life, and leading cultural trends. Young designers, as the most dynamic and forward-thinking group, their imagination, creativity, and disruptive spirit are constantly redefining the boundaries and possibilities of design.

To gather global young design talents, explore design boundaries, advocate innovative, sustainable, and inclusive design concepts, and showcase their outstanding creativity, the International Green Future Alliance(IGFA) and the International Youth Sustainable Innovation Summit(YSS) jointly initiated and hosted the "Apex International Youth Innovation Design Competition(Vitus Design Award)", aiming to establish a pure, open, and internationalized competition and exchange platform, encouraging young designers to break through domain barriers and explore the unlimited possibilities of design language, technology, materials, and experience. Vitus Design Award will recognize those innovative designs that represent the future direction and possess top (Apex) standards, and help young design talents stand on the world stage.

Competition Introduction

Description of the competition and award: "Apex" means "peak, top, ultimate", symbolizing the designers' pursuit of the peak of the industry, exploration of the cutting-edge of innovation, and the ultimate exploration of potential; "Vitus" originates from the Latin word "Vitus", meaning "life, vitality and creativity", symbolizing the energetic exploration spirit, outstanding imagination and creativity of young designers.

The Apex International Youth Innovation Design Competition (Vitus Design Award) is jointly initiated and hosted by the International Green Future Alliance (IGFA) and the International Youth Sustainable Innovation Summit (YSS). It is strongly associated with international organizations such as the International Youth (Europe) Sustainable Innovation Center, the World Future Technology Development Federation (WFT), and jointly conducts global promotion. It has also received strong support from international authoritative institutions such as the World Design Organization (WDO), the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).

The winners of the Apex International Young Innovative Design Competition will be honored with the " Vitus Design Award ". This is a hall of honor, and also an incentive engine for future innovation and progress. At that time, the YSS will showcase the outstanding achievements of the Vitus Design Award in China, and sincerely invite the winners to participate in a series of forums and matchmaking activities, providing valuable opportunities for communication and learning for the winners, and promoting cross-border cooperation and inspiration collisions.
