In today's era where urbanization is profoundly reshaping human living spaces, we are collectively confronted with multiple challenges such as climate crisis, resource constraints, social equity, and historical inheritance, while also harboring tremendous opportunities for innovation, inclusiveness, and sustainable development. To unify global wisdom and drive cities to rejuvenate in the midst of change, the International Award for Sustainable Urban Regeneration (IASUR) has emerged.

 

The International Award for Sustainable Urban Regeneration was initiated and established by the International Green Future Alliance (IGFA) in collaboration with authoritative organizations such as the International Youth (Europe) Sustainable Innovation Center and the International Youth Sustainable Innovation Summit (YSS). Its aim is to discover, recognize, and promote those cutting-edge projects that deeply integrate "environmental resilience, economic vitality, social inclusiveness, and cultural inheritance" into the regeneration practices. Our focus is not only on the transformation of physical spaces but also on the reformation of the city's vitality - those green communities that ingeniously activate abandoned industrial areas, smart neighborhoods that reduce carbon emissions through technological innovation, dynamic neighborhoods that preserve historical contexts and empower the original residents, and inclusive spaces that create fair opportunities for disadvantaged groups, all of which are the exemplary models we aspire to witness.
